This cultivar of Orchidglade (pileatum x expansum) is an excellent breeder, reliably producing high quality offspring. A prolific bloomer, it produces large, light-yellow flowers with red spots and a huge lip. The flowers of Memoria Raúl Mortera Penedo (Karen Armstrong x denticulatum) look like denticulatum on steroids, with flowers that are larger, fuller and darker. I am really looking forward to seeing the outcome of this mating! I expect large flowers with flat lips, densely spotted in red burgundy on a lighter background. These mini-Catasetums will be easy to grow and flower. Expect blooms throughout the growing season.
