Cattleya Interglossa coerulea 'Purple Tower' BM/JOGA x Cattleya Laura Newton 'Flair's Spots' 5827

Here we are line breeding our best Laura Newton back to Interglossa.  ‘Purple Tower’ produces 13 or more coerulea flowers with darker blue spots in the middle of August. This Laura Newton (C. Interglossa x C. Leoloddiglossa) has the best color we have seen, deep blue flares and blue spotted sepals. We are expecting about ½ of the progeny to have petals that are flared in blue and all of the progeny spotted with blue spots. Strong stems will hold 10 plus flowers above the foliage.
